Hello! I am Joan. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education in 1979 from Edinboro State University in Pennsylvania. I have 30 years of teaching experience; 23 of which have been in the area of special education. The balance of these years was as a second grade teacher, and as an elementary school librarian. Currently, and for the past 17 years, I have been employed in the Illinois public school system as a 2nd-5th grade special education
