I taught for Mississippi public schools for 2 years. I was one of two 9th grade English teachers. My curriculum included language arts, writing, and literature. I also taught African American Literature, Creative Writing, and Compensatory Reading courses. For the past 5 years, I've tutored high school students in preparing them for the reading and language portion of the SAT. I have also tutored K-12 and adult students in reading/writing instruction. I've participated in two ACT prep workshops.
