My name is Richard and most of my students call me Coach Rich. My students called me this when I coached my first year of high school basketball and it has stuck ever since. I have always enjoyed teaching and working with helping children achieve. I started teaching when I was in first grade. I was blessed to be able to read at an advanced third grade level when I started school. My first grade teacher would send me to other classes to help other students to learn to read because of my ability.
