My name is Maria. I will be graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a Master of Arts in History in April of 2018. For the past two years, I have worked as a graduate teaching assistant. In this role-- in addition to often teaching my own sections-- I am responsible for providing extra help to students on an as-needed basis. The title of "teaching assistant" carries with it with the implicit additional role of "tutor." This has been one of the most rewarding aspects of this job. As an u
