Although I grew up in a small town in Iowa, I went to colleges in San Francisco and Pasadena. I've found Denver to be a wonderful compromise between the sophistication of a large suburban area and being able to be in the middle of the wilderness very quickly. I love being out of doors. At the same time what I do, teaching and commercial photography are best done in a big population center.
