I received a lifetime teaching certificate when I got my degree but joined the navy and spent most of my career on aircraft carriers. I was an air combat instructor at TOPGUN and also at the USN F-14 Tomcat training squadron. I taught high school history to Sailors on the USS Kitty Hawk. I spent much of my 32 year career mentoring my Sailors and young officers and watching them grow and progress. I retired from the navy as a 2 star admiral and was president of a small IT company in San Diego. I
