As a teacher, the most rewarding moment is when you see that "light bulb" go on for the student: after showing the same concept in multiple different ways, you finally hit upon the methodology that "clicks" for him/her. The student's face brightens, eyes widen, and smile blossoms; in that moment, he/she feels smart--proud to have the potential to do things that seemed impossible before. It's a moment of empowerment and accomplishment, for both teacher and student. And that's what I love most
