Having taught in the state of Texas for the last eight years at an academic alternative high school, I have classroom experience in the fields of English Language Arts and Reading. I used to teach Journalism, Speech, and Creative Writing electives, as well. Although I am not what you would call a "grammar nerd," I appreciate the proper use and function of grammar, spelling, and style in writing.
