I began teaching math back in the 1970's in middle school. I enjoyed working with the students very much. At the time I had a young family with a wife and 4 children. Needing more money I took a job with the Providence Journal which paid me much more. After 16 years with the Journal I decided to return to my first love, teaching. I taught summer school at first at Ponagansett High, but then got a job working with the Southern RI collaborative for the next 17 years, which catered to students
