I taught for 18 years in Los Angeles at schools and in film studios as well as working in New York City with City Kids. C.K. was a free after school group that studied with an emphasis on creativity and fun. We also did performance pieces, often with well known artists, and we were highly regarded by the city council. It was amazing to watch students' marks and attitudes improve while a love of learning replaced anger or failure and creativity became more important than negative emotions.
