I am a retired building contractor and attorney who loves playing the saxophone. I have played for almost 30 years and currently play and perform with 2 large community bands, one dixieland band and one "big" band. I enjoy working with children and especially like teaching music. I am a big believer in learning the basics first and the "tricks" or "shortcuts" later. I want my students to learn how to read and understand music, including scales and musical "style", as well as playing the notes. M
