I have a degree in mathematics. I am a retired computer software engineer. After retiring I substitute taught in the local high school. I have privately tutored for 10 years. My theory for tutoring is not to just work with the current assignments but to fill in the basic information which may have been missed along the way. It has been my experience that once the foundation has been shored-up the student is usually able to progress well on his/her own.
