I have recently graduated from Georgia College and State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a concentration in Art History. In school, I quickly learned that it is one thing to memorize facts, dates, artist bios, or an artwork’s historical/aesthetic significance and another thing to understand why color smeared across a canvas, a urinal placed in a museum space, or a man’s tattered bed sheets on a museum’s walls constitute as works of art just as much as works that adhere to tradit
