I started reading Farsi books when I was just 6 years old. My legendary teacher, who also happened to be my father’s friend, was a philosopher and historian as well as a professor at a university. While he was living with us during the summer, he would teach me how to read and understand Farsi. Professor Z. Behrooz was the first teacher who made me fall in love with the Persian language and poetry. My parents, especially my mother, was my biggest supporter when it came to my love of literature.
