As a teacher, I see each student as an individual, with their own talents and interests. Every one can learn in their own way. I believe in the Multiple Intelligences Theory that everyone is smart, but in different ways. In addition some of us learn by doing, some by listening, and others by watching. During my career, I often offered choices to students on how they wanted to complete an assignment. Perhaps dramatizing a story, drawing a picture, or completing a timeline would be choices.
