My original degree was in Marketing but moved to North Carolina & decided to return to school to obtain my teaching certification in grades K-6 and then went on to obtain my certification in Educable Mentally Handicapped. Later on, I obtained my Master's Degree in Learning Disabilities through ECU and an add-on certification in Academically Gifted through a consortium which included Currituck County Schools.I have taught for a total of 20 years in various positions including classroom teacher
