I first came to tutoring as an undergraduate student at SUNY Purchase College. As part of a very selective course in Literature called "Teaching Good Prose," I served as a Teacher's Assistant in a section of College Writing comprised of freshmen in Purchase's Educational Opportunity Program. I was responsible for assisting the instructor in moderating in-class workshops, teaching mini-lessons, holding private student conferences, and tutoring online. My experience as a TA brought me to the Pur
