I am a 1st grade teacher, who has experience in using the new Common Core Standards. I have 2 years of first grade experience and 2 years of third grade experience. I look for the best way for my students to learn and I make the necessary changes in the traditional setting to meet the needs of my students. Some examples are: using magnetic letters to complete a spelling test instead of paper and pencil, using flash cards and counter for a timed math fact drill instead of paper and pencil
