My past teaching experience is comprised of nine years in a middle school classroom, teaching all aspects of Language Arts. My students developed a greater ability to comprehend fiction and non-fiction text, appreciation of literature, and proper grammar usage. I recently relocated to North Carolina and am currently employed as a high school English/Social Studies teacher. My instruction includes various modalities to reach all types of learners (e.g. tactile, kinesthetic, auditory, visual).
