I graduated Queens College in 1952 with a BS in mathematics. Then I went to the University of Chicago and obtained a MS in mathematics in 1954. I also went to Indiana University for another two years (1954-1956) and took all the coursework for a Ph.D but did not write a thesis to finish. While at Indiana University, I was also a teaching assistant, teaching many math courses.
