I was born in Trinidad, West Indies. From my youth, I knew that I wanted to be a teacher. The reason for this is, perhaps the fact that, both my parents were school-principals. In relation to my teaching career, I taught the General Cambridge Examinations (G.C.E.) Advanced Level in English literature, drama and general writing for 20 years from 1981-2001.
