I've taught in Fresno Unified for 31 years. I retired in 2016. I've taught in grades 4, 5, and 6, but most of my teaching years were in the 2nd grade.I have tutored through Fresno Unified in the Home Hospital Instruction program. Most of these jobs have been 3 months to 9 months in length, and usually 2nd through 6th grade.I use a lot of hands on material for my teaching of math. I feel it's important for the student understand why you do certain things in math. Concrete to abstract.
