I grew up in Irving, and after graduating High School, went to North Lake (community college) for my first year. I took all the "easy" courses required of a freshman engineering student. This got me my first job tutoring. I worked for a semester at the Math and Science center there at North Lake, but I wouldn't have known about it if I had taken a Math class my senior year in High school. I didn't, and subsequently forgot most of the algebra and trigonometry needed for my first course in Cal
