Before I get to my experience, I would like to discuss my theory of tutoring. My goal with tutoring is to get my tutoree (I made that up) to understand the material so that they can do the tasks themselves. I typically break down the tasks into mini steps so that the person I am helping can fill in any gaps they might have. Instead of doing the homework with my tutoree, I use examples that I come up with, which enables the student to grasp the concept and do the homework themselves (Hooray!). No
