After receiving degrees in Biology and Literature from the University of Virginia, I joined the 2011 corp of Teach For America. During my two years, I taught fifth-grade science at a charter middle school in Camden, NJ. During my time there, I earned my M.Ed. in Urban Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
