I retired from teaching after being a Middle School mathematics teacher for 17 years. Currently, I work at ODU helping undergraduates become math and science teachers. While tutoring, I like to keep your student up to speed on the current skills being taught in class and then with the parents' guidance, either work ahead so they have a background on the material when it is introduced in class or review skills taught previously to ensure their math foundation is solid.
